Implementation Planner

Our client is a well-established independent full service media agency who is looking for a Implementation Planner to join their team.

The Implementation Planner position is responsible for a broad range of tasks, largely focused on managing the client, and bringing the media strategy to life through to the implementation plan.

The Role:
• Understanding of client business
• Contributes to reviews of the media market, competitive market and client positioning
• Contribute to internal & external client WIP’s
• Liaises with clients/creative agencies on material needs, timelines and asset delivery
• Develops, manages and updates the media plan including reconciliation and budget tracking reports for clients
• Plan digital
• Compile post reports
• Compile digital reports
• Compile digital recommendations
• Be able to brief digital publishers and evaluate responses

Knowledge and Experience:

• Has worked in a client service role and understands the basic function of servicing
• Is motivated by the idea of learning the strategy function, digital, planning, buying and negotiation
• 2-3 years’ experience preferably in media buying and basic planning skills


• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working relationships with all relevant media maintained, including traffic and production teams
• Instruction and management of all material with media
• Leads adherence to Slingshot Media Manifesto through example and with team
• Uses media planning tools e.g. Roy Morgan, eTam, Eram, AQX, Asteroid to review audience behaviour and support implementation rationales
• Assist in briefing media buying agency and media to generate costs for the planning and implementation process
• Input on the development of media plans
